Analog Thailand - Rollei Retro 80s

Documenting life in rural Thailand is always interesting. Using analog film gives it a special character, and using Retro 80s by Rollei adds to the unique look of using film. Retro 80s is more sensitive to red, especially suited to peoples faces. It has a lot of contrast, which I enjoy.

Tasty Lunch - in the Market of Nakhon Nayok City

The main market in Nakhon Nayok is always busy, especially in the mornings as people stock up on their supplies for the day. One of the things I really enjoy about Thailand is always having access to fresh food. People rave about Thai dishes, and having very fresh ingredients is part of the reason the food is so special.

Photographing people in the markets of Thailand is truly a pleasure. The people are always friendly, and enjoy having photos made of them. In fact it is considered a compliment that the photographer (especially a foreigner) would choose to photograph them, and their culture.

The following day I finished my roll of film by shooting a monk on his morning walk for alms in rural Thailand. For those interested, I shot Retro 80s at box speed and it was lab processed - normal.
